AJP MOTOS Australia will not only be racing at the Tatts Finke Desert Race but is also sponsoring the Scrutineering Day and will have a display set up in the Scrutineering area at Finke, where the range of AJP motorcycles will be on display.

The race team consists of Warren Strange (PR7), Mitchell Thorneycroft (SPR510r) and Alexandra Long (SPR310r).

The Tatts Finke Desert Race takes place from June 5 to 8 in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia, one of the most iconic and demanding off-road races in the world.

First held in 1976, for motorcycles only, the event has become a landmark in Australasian motorsport and is widely regarded as one of the toughest desert races in the world. The race runs between Alice Springs and Aputula (Finke), crossing remote desert terrain defined by sand, high-speed sections and harsh conditions.

The 2026 entry builds on AJP’s participation in 2025, when Alex Kelly competed with an SPR 510r, reinforcing the continued development of AJP’s presence in the Australian off-road racing scene.

The Tatts Finke Desert Race attracts hundreds of competitors across bikes and cars and remains a key event in the Australian off-road calendar, combining high-level competition with a strong community atmosphere.

Competing in Finke places AJP Motorcycles in one of the most demanding real-world environments for off-road riding, highlighting both rider capability and machine performance under extreme desert conditions.
